Announcement: List of Candidates Shortlisted for Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 36 Interview

Big congratulations to the candidates who successfully passed the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 36 Recruitment Examination, which took place on 17th February 2024 and went on to have their names published on the Nigerian Navy Shortlist.

Shortlisted candidates are hereby invited to attend interviews, scheduled to be held in two batches. Batch A interviews will take place from 30th March to 8th April, while Batch B interviews will be held from 10th to 20th April 2024.

  • Candidates from the North East and North West regions are requested to attend interviews at the Nigerian Defence Academy Old Site.
  • Those from the North Central and South West regions will report to the Nigerian Navy Secondary School Ojo, Lagos.
  • Similarly, candidates from the South East and South South regions are required to attend interviews at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School Borokiri Port Harcourt.

Instructions for Candidates Shortlisted for Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 36 Interview

  1. Interview Dates and Requirements: The interview will be conducted concurrently at the centres from 30 March to 20 April 2024. Candidates must undergo screening/verification of credentials/certificates, medical/physical evaluation, and a written test. Shortlisted candidates are required to bring the following items:
    • Printout of their duly signed application forms.
    • Originals and photocopies of their credentials.
    • Originals and photocopies of valid Drivers’ Licence (Category H only).
    • Original and photocopy of State of Origin/LGA certificate.
    • National Identity Card/Acknowledgment Slip.
    • Writing materials.
    • Two pairs of navy blue shorts and 2 white (unmarked) T Shirts.
    • A pair of canvas/trainer and stockings.
    • Bed sheets and pillow cases.
    • Set of cutlery.
    • Four (4) recent 30X30mm passport-sized photographs on a white background.
    • Personal Toiletries (bathing and washing soaps, toothpaste and brush, etc.).
  2. Individual Interview Process: Candidates will be interviewed individually, and failure to meet any required criterion during the interview may lead to the termination of their candidature at any stage.
  3. False Information Declaration: Providing fake/false/wrong information at any stage of the selection process will result in the cancellation of candidature, and candidates may face prosecution by the Nigeria Police Force.
  4. Medical History Disclosure: Failure to provide accurate information regarding medical history as stated on the Medical Examination Pro forma will lead to automatic withdrawal from training and dismissal, even if already in service.
  5. Screening Attendance: Candidates must report for screening at the specified centre for their State of Origin on the stipulated date for their Batch. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of candidature.
  6. Bank Verification Number (BVN): Candidates are required to report with a copy of their BVN.
  7. Forgery and False Documents: Candidates found with false/forged documents will be arrested and prosecuted.
  8. Impersonation: Impostors will be arrested and prosecuted.
  9. Compliance: All concerned parties must take note of these instructions and comply accordingly.

Candidates are urged to adhere strictly to these instructions to ensure a smooth and successful interview process. Failure to comply with any of the stated requirements may result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
